Artist Concept:
"Delilah" is an exploration of texture and form, utilising balloons to capture the intricate beauty of a dahlia. This work, part of my "anti-canvas" series, is set against a resin-coated tablecloth runner, symbolising the impermanence and transformation inherent in life. The repurposed picture frame serves as a nod to sustainability and the beauty found in everyday materials. Inspired by Kathleen, a former avid gardener now in a rest home, "Delilah" embodies the power of art to reconnect us with our past selves and cherished memories. This piece is a tribute to her and to all who find solace and joy in the beauty of nature.
Junk and Disorderly Disclaimer:
I am in the business of Junk, old unused items people are going to throw away. My joy as a recreator is to wave my magic shiny wand and transform them into something I am proud to send out my door. It must be said though, that there is nothing perfect in the old (sorry mum) - if you look closely, you are going to find rust, scratches or the odd ugly backside as I endeavour to do my best in a sustainable way. With upcycling, must come the understanding that these come to you flawed. like the sediment in an old wine, or a tarnished old coin from years ago. Enjoy the old and celebrate our flaws, old or new! Thanks MSM.

Delilah
My Shiny Perspective:
Say hello to "Delilah," the dahlia that blooms from balloons! This anti-canvas creation is as festive as a birthday party, with a resin-coated tablecloth runner adding just the right touch of elegance. Named after an awesome person I know and inspired by a lovely lady in a rest home, Delilah is here to prove that flowers and fun can go hand in hand. With every petal made from a popped balloon, this dahlia is ready to party! Thanks to Kathleen for the botanical ID and for bringing this floral fiesta to life!
