By incorporating a functional QR code into the mosaic, which leads to the well-known "rick roll" video, the piece subverts expectations and plays with the concept of reward and surprise. The use of repurposed materials like an old bathroom mirror and plastic container bases ties into themes of sustainability and the transformation of mundane objects into something intriguing and interactive. Step right up and "Scan to Win"! Or maybe not. This playful piece, crafted from an old bathroom mirror, shiny gold acrylic, and a medley of mosaic tiles, is my cheeky nod to the digital age. I threw in some resin splatter pieces and plastic container bases just for kicks. The pièce de résistance? A QR code that promises a win but delivers the ultimate internet prank – the classic "rick roll." It's my way of saying art can be fun, unexpected, and a little bit naughty. So go ahead, scan it – I dare you!
