Staff Meeting is a bold and whimsical upcycled sculpture from New Zealand that reimagines the relationship between nature, discarded materials, and the absurdity of human systems. A once-forgotten teapot becomes the unlikely stage for a classic NZ tomato sauce bottle—recast as the boss in charge. Meanwhile, resin-encased snail shells, collected from my own garden, scramble up with a sense of urgency and purpose.

This upcycled sculpture blends humour, nostalgia, and natural textures to explore themes of leadership, collective movement, and constructed hierarchies. The snails—symbolising employees, ambition, or routine—move in unison toward their condiment overlord, highlighting the absurdity in both nature and boardrooms.

Playful, poignant, and distinctly Kiwi, Staff Meeting invites you to pause and reflect on who’s leading whom—and why. It’s a love letter to slow chaos, garden wisdom, and the strange rituals we all follow.
